Lionel Messi receives Golden Boot for third consecutive time

Barcelona striker and Argentine Captain Lionel Messi received his third successive European Golden Boot yesterday.

Messi thanked his club and players for support, saying, "This is a beautiful award that goes to the entire squad for what it has done. It is a recognition of the (Barcelona) dressing room and of all that the team has been doing all year."

Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted in an interview with lifestyle magazine that he has made many mistakes during his younger years at Manchester United.
“I see pictures of myself when I was 16 or 17 and I say, ‘What did I do?’ because of the cut of my hair, or the colour. When I was in Manchester I had the ‘spaghetti’ hair – long with yellow tips. What was I doing?".

Sir Alex Ferguson's autobiography: A bag of secrets

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted in his newly published autobiogarphy that he promised Cristiano Ronaldo his dream Real Madrid move. 

"Madrid paid £80million in cash for him, and do you know why? It was a way for Florentino Perez, their president, to say to the world, 'We are Real Madrid, we are the biggest of the lot'," Ferguson wrote.

"I went to Carlos's (Queiroz, former Manchester United assistant coach and then-Portugal manager) house in Portugal to find the boy expressing an urge to go to Real Madrid, and told him: 'You can't go this year, not after the way Calderon has approached the issue".

Gerrard Speakes on England Team, World Cup and Liverpool FC

Captain of both Liverpool FC and England National Team, Steven Gerrard spoke on his country qualified for next year's FIFA World cup and his memories related with tournament. 

The 33 year old said, “My best memory of a World Cup I think was when I was 10 when I watched my first one. I watched Gascoigne and saw the lads get to the semi-finals and to within ­inches of the final in 1990. David Moyes admits Manchester United can't win Champions league this season

After the loss from West Brom now and Man City before the win at Anfield, Manchester United Boss David Moyes had finally admitted that his team can't win Champions league this season.

Talking to the reporters, former Everton boss said,“To win the Champions League, you need five or six world-class players. If you look at Bayern Munich, they have five or six nearly world-class players. Look at Barcelona, who had it in the past and Real Madrid have maybe got it now. That’s the level you have to get at to win it. We’ve not got that yet but what we have got is experience and several players who are in that category or close to it.”

Manchester United have been trying with many attacking midfielders all summer, but failed to convert into transfers except Everton star Marouane Fellaini on deadline day. 

The Daily Star reported that the 29 year old Spanish star has just rejected a £200,000-a-week contract from FC Barcelona and wants more as he his one of the finest midfielders in Europe, if not, in the world.

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and England midfielder Michael Carrick(Manchester United) have praised Wayne Rooney yesterday for his match winning performance against Bayer Leverkusen on 17th september.

Michael Carrick was delighted to see the striker scoring second individual goal which was his 200th goal for Manchester United on Tuesday night.He told Manutd.com " It was probably Wayne's best performance that I've seen for a while.It's great to have him in that form - he can be untouchable when he's like that."
