Manchester United news: Sir Alex Ferguson talks on role at UEFA and Premier league

Manchester United director Sir Alex Ferguson spoke last week about title race his club and his new role at UEFA.

"I'm not writing anyone offI find it very difficult to pick the top four. I find it even more difficult to say who is going to win the league. It seems so stupid to me", he told BBC..

While in another occasion, Sir Alex has been honored by UEFA committee with his new role at the organisation.

"Sir Alex will be chairman of the forum of elite coaches that meet every year, He will also be a member of the technical study group of the Champions League and the European Championship", informed Platini, the president.

"It is an honor and a privilege to accept this role as ambassador for UEFA", said the legendary manager.

Manchester United news: David Moyes quotes on Sir Alex Ferguson

David Moyes, Manchester United manager, has praised Sir Alex Ferguson while denying about added pressure due to the presence of the legendary boss; talking to reporters after the club faced 2-1 defeat at Sunderland in the first leg of the Capital One Cup semi-final.

"(Sir)Alex is a great sounding-board for me. He is there to help, so is Sir Bobby. He is terrific. Bryan Robson is at the training ground regularly, I speak to him regularly.", told 50 year old.

"I find the three of them terrific. I have always been happy with how the player have been responding. I thought they were good tonight apart from the opening 15 minutes. It's always going to be a tough game. It's only the first part of the game, so we have got a bit more to do in the second leg." added Moyes.

"This hasn't happened at Manchester United for a long time. I thought the support was great. They are sticking with the club, sticking with the manager and that's exactly what you need when you are not doing so well.", he said on the loss.

Sir Alex Ferguson's autobiography: A bag of secrets

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted in his newly published autobiogarphy that he promised Cristiano Ronaldo his dream Real Madrid move. 

"Madrid paid £80million in cash for him, and do you know why? It was a way for Florentino Perez, their president, to say to the world, 'We are Real Madrid, we are the biggest of the lot'," Ferguson wrote.

"I went to Carlos's (Queiroz, former Manchester United assistant coach and then-Portugal manager) house in Portugal to find the boy expressing an urge to go to Real Madrid, and told him: 'You can't go this year, not after the way Calderon has approached the issue".

Michael Carrick and Sir Alex Praise Wayne Rooney

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and England midfielder Michael Carrick(Manchester United) have praised Wayne Rooney yesterday for his match winning performance against Bayer Leverkusen on 17th september.

Michael Carrick was delighted to see the striker scoring second individual goal which was his 200th goal for Manchester United on Tuesday night.He told Manutd.com " It was probably Wayne's best performance that I've seen for a while.It's great to have him in that form - he can be untouchable when he's like that."
