Is WWE using Chris Jericho as platform for emerging superstars?

Many of the wrestling fans will answer the above question as "Yes" if they have observed "Y2J Chris Jericho" over the past couple of years.

Six time world champion, only guy to beat both world champions (The Rock for the World Heavyweight Championship And Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWE championship) at same night to become first ever Undisputed WWE champion, record nine times Intercontinental champion, is now starving to get the title shot at either WWE championship or World Heavyweight Championship.

Probably the most deserving guy in WWE for both of these championship Y2J, is nowadays being used as a platform for emerging superstars in company.Take a look at some of these storylines in last couple of years featuring Chris Jericho :
                                                                          Source: Rantsports.com

1)Dolph Ziggler : At Summerslam last year,Jericho defeated Ziggler. Next night on RAW the stipulation for the rematch was put by RAW general manager AJ Lee that if Jericho loses, his contract will be terminated. In that match, Ziggler retained his MITB contract and Jericho lost his contract.

2)Fandango : One of the biggest upsets at wrestlemania, where newly entered superstar, Fandango defeated Y2J in a singles match. At extreme rules, Jericho defeated Fandango to end the rivalry.

3)Ryback : This was the match put by former Raw general manager Vickie guerrero for Money in the bank Pay-per-view. Ryback won that match.

4)Curtis Axel : Next night after Money in the bank PPV, Jericho was put into a title match for Intercontinental championship against Curtis Axel which he lost as per the storyline even though he had won past few matches against him.

Here, I am not criticizing WWE, but fact remains same that one of the greatest wrestler of all time is not getting a single title shot for about last two years. This may be happening due to lack of good storylines or may be due to very much competition in the company as many new superstars are waiting to get in the main roster.
